JOB OPENING – Construction Estimator (Entry Level) – Kansas City

Walsh Door + Security is seeking an Entry-Level Estimator to be part of the team at our Kansas City location. We are the one of the nation’s leading providers of premium commercial door, frame, hardware and electronic security products and services, and partner with national and regional General Contractors and Commercial Customers. Job Description:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements to prepare accurate estimates for doors, frames, and hardware.
• Use estimating software to price material and labor for projects based on blueprints and specifications. 
• Participate in pre-bid reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• AutoCAD or Revit software experience is helpful, but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Detail oriented. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects under a deadline.
• Must have ability to handle large workload, multitask, and maintain a positive attitude.
• “Will do”, trainable, team player type attitude.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and security background check.
