Hospitalist - Physician at Dignity Health Medical Group - Phoenix - CommonSpirit Health summary:

The position is for a Full-Time Nocturnist Hospitalist providing nighttime inpatient adult care at a Magnet-designated hospital with strong subspecialty support. The role involves working 180 night shifts per year with a collaborative team and academic affiliation to Creighton University. Compensation includes a competitive salary with productivity and quality incentives, and benefits such as paid malpractice and CME stipends.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full Time Nocturnist to join our team!

  • 180 shifts per year (primary schedule 7 on 7 off) consisting of purely nights (6:00 pm – 6:00 am)
  • Two nocturnists are assigned during these shifts, affording a manageable workload. In addition, there are 2-3 residents/interns in the team. Average admissions 17/night for the whole team.
  • Primary responsibility is on-site adult (admit and cross cover) inpatient care. Superb inhouse subspecialty support. Magnet hospital - rarely need to transfer a patient out!

Job Requirements
  • MD or DO Degree
  • BC/BE
  • Must have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensure
  • Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board Certification
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
