On-Call CDL and Non-CDL Drivers to support Terrestris Global Solutions' ongoing ground operations and asset relocation efforts in Mayport, FL. This opportunity is on-call / as-needed.

So, what will the On-Call CDL and Non-CDL Driver at Terrestris do? As the On-Call CDL and Non-CDL Driver you will be responsible for safely operating company-owned / rented / leased commercial vehicles to transport goods, equipment, vehicles, or materials to designated locations on an as-needed basis. This position provides flexible support to meet fluctuating business demands, covering scheduled absences, peak workloads, or special assignments.
This position is ideal for experienced drivers seeking flexibility and supplemental income, or for retired professionals who wish to remain active in the workforce without a full-time schedule. The on-call driver plays a vital role in ensuring the continuity of operations and customer satisfaction during high-demand periods.
What does a typical day look like for an On-Call CDL and Non-CDL Driver? You will:
- Safelyoperate assigned vehicles (cars, vans, box trucks, or commercial vehicles) incompliance with all DOT, state, and company regulations.
- Conductpre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
- Transportgoods, materials, or personnel to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Loadand unload cargo when required, ensuring secure and balanced loads.
- Maintainaccurate trip logs, mileage, and delivery documentation.
- Communicateeffectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules ordelays.
- Followall company policies and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Reportmechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:
For CDL Drivers: - ValidClass A or B CDL license with a clean driving record.
- CurrentDOT medical card.
- Minimum2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Familiaritywith DOT Hours of Service and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
For Non-CDL Drivers: - Validstate driver's license and clean driving record.
- Experienceoperating vans, pickup trucks, or light delivery vehicles preferred.
General Requirements (Both CDL & Non-CDL): - Mustbe at least 21 years of age.
- Abilityto lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Flexibilityto work on-call, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Excellentcommunication and customer service skills.
- Commitmentto safety, reliability, and professionalism.

- HazardousMaterials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Passengerendorsement.
- Knowledgeof standard operating procedures regulations associated with a typical U.S.military installation.
- Priormilitary experience.
