Overview
The PEGA Developer is responsible for building, testing, and deploying decisioning logic within a low-code decisioning platform. This role supports rapid-cycle updates, including new offers, strategy adjustments, and personalized customer campaigns. The position requires strong technical aptitude, hands-on development skills, and the ability to work in a high-velocity environment with frequent production launches.
Build and deploy decisioning logic on a frequent, rapid release cycle (e.g., new offers, strategy changes, retention or loyalty updates).
Develop hands-on within Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) or a similar decisioning platform—not limited to drag-and-drop configuration.
Write, run, and interpret heavy SQL queries to validate logic behavior and ensure correct execution across systems.
Translate requirements from Product or Project Managers into functional decisioning logic and technical implementations.
Support daily and frequent deployments, including testing, validation, troubleshooting, and iterative adjustments.
Collaborate closely with PM, QA, and cross-functional technical teams within an agile, fast-paced delivery model.
Maintain strong ownership of assigned work, including occasional off-hours deployment support when needed.
Strong software development mindset and problem-solving ability, even within a low-code environment.
Advanced SQL skills, including querying across multiple systems for validation and QA.
Experience with Pega CDH or a similar enterprise decisioning or low-code platform (Pega is preferred but not required).
Ability to work comfortably in a daily release or rapid-deployment environment.
Proactive, independent work style with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Experience with other decisioning or campaign-execution technologies (e.g., Unica, Siebel, or comparable low-code enterprise platforms).
Background in customer offers, business rules, or marketing/campaign operations (not required).
Familiarity with API development or integration concepts.
Experience supporting continuous delivery environments or frequent logic-update cycles.
