$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Brief Description
The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for partnering with site supervision to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations.
Job Roles And Responsibilities
- Inspect the jobsite, including tools, equipment, and machinery, to identify and correct deficiencies or potential hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA, Weifield, and Owner/GC regulatory requirements.
- Assist project and safety management teams in investigating safety-related incidents, employee injuries, occupational illnesses, and motor vehicle accidents to determine causes and contributing factors.
- Conduct or facilitate safety training and education programs for supervisory and field employees through formal classes, safety meetings, or other venues.
- Recommend safe work processes and demonstrate personal protective equipment safety features to reduce employees' exposure to hazards.
- Ensure tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, and technical instruments are fit-for-purpose, functional, calibrated, and that protective measures are in place to reduce injury or illness risks.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of four years' experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent understanding of the electrical industry.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all relevant regulations.
- Ability to recognize hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to understand and embody the companys vision and values of PACT: People, Advance Process, Community, and Trusting Relationships.
Preferred Requirements
- Electrical experience, including a Journeyman Electrical License or RTT.
- Completion of OSHA Course #510.
- Current or pursuing certifications such as CHST or CEST.
- Knowledge of accident investigation and root cause analysis principles.
