Location Kalamazoo Job Description / Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients, customers, co-workers, etc. Guard posts – outdoor positions, building lobbies, or reception areas. Use personal cell phone to make hourly wellness calls to DK Command Center during overnight shifts. Conduct hourly foot patrols inside and outside to check entrances, doors, windows, vents, and inventory equipment. Ensure unauthorized persons cannot enter restricted areas. Check employee and vendor IDs. Look for suspicious persons, packages, or activities. Follow site‑specific post guidelines. Report potentially hazardous conditions and items needing repair (lighting, plumbing, wet floors, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Good moral character and ability to pass a criminal background check (no felony convictions, no misdemeanors for certain offenses). Pass drug test at hire and annually thereafter. Working cell phone for hourly wellness calls. Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to multiple locations. Impeccable grooming per Appearance and Grooming policy. Friendly, positive, professional image to clients, employees, supervisors, managers, and public. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to solve problems and de‑escalate situations non‑confrontationally. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email. Physical: ability to work independently, flexible availability, short notice acceptance, valid driver’s license, own vehicle. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED.
