Position Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring the attraction, assessment, and selection of top talent for LWVI. This role serves as a trusted partner to hiring managers, providing expertise and guidance throughout the hiring process while maintaining a high level of professionalism and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Florida Range $22.00 - $25.13
  • Paid time off with a starting maximum of 144.04 hours per year.

Schedule and Travel

This position works a hybrid schedule with 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. In-office days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Office days are subject to change based on business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs and supports all aspects of the recruitment process – including posting job ads, reviewing applications, phone screens, video and in-person interviews, observations and other duties as required
  • Maintains timely and professional communication to candidates
  • Provides strategic perspective on how to source quality candidates
  • Fields questions from applicants regarding the interviewing process
  • Works with hiring managers to define staffing needs, job qualifications, candidate selection criteria, and advertising in multiple media venues
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements by actively shadowing departments and observing workflows, ensuring a deep understanding of role needs
  • Maintain ATS data and assist hiring managers with navigating and effectively using the system to manage candidates and recruitment workflows
  • Align job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders
  • Markets the organization to potential employees and explains benefits and compensation programs as well as company expectations
  • Networks within the community and may participate in job fairs
  • Drives technology, systems, and process improvements
  • Regularly gathers and reports on data related to recruiting activities and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensures all job descriptions, job posts, candidate information, and recruiting materials are accurate, up-to-date and organized
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High School or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Relevant educational or work experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 0-3 years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Proficiency with social media, CV databases, and professional networks
  • Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all Eye Bank staff.
  • Effective interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with professional contacts, resources and/or networks and deal with people with sensitivity, tact, discretion and professionalism.
  • Able to multi-task, deal with complexity and meet deadlines.
  • Be a self-starter and perform work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology implemented to stay competitive
  • Computer software skills including but not limited to MS Outlook and Word
  • Demonstrates passion for the Mission and Values of LWVI, including personal support of organ and tissue donation.
