Compensation: Competitive, Up to $30/hour
Shift/Working Hours: Flexible Tax Season Schedule (Evenings/Weekends Available)
About the role:
PrideStaff is partnering with a highly respected local CPA firm in Asheville, NC, to find a dedicated Tax Preparer for the upcoming season. This pivotal role involves the timely and accurate preparation of a high volume of individual and business tax returns, ensuring full compliance and maximizing client benefits. The ideal candidate will thrive in a professional, deadline-driven environment and be passionate about providing exceptional client service.

What you will do:

• Prepare accurate and complete individual (Form 1040) and various business tax returns (e.g., Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 990).
• Efficiently manage a high volume of returns, maintaining a high standard of both speed and precision throughout the tax season.
• Analyze and verify financial data, ensuring strict compliance with all current federal and state tax laws.
• Conduct professional client consultations to gather comprehensive tax-related information and provide expert guidance.
• Proactively identify potential tax credits, deductions, and strategic planning opportunities for clients.
• Serve as a trusted advisor , communicating clearly and responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

What you will bring:

• 2+ years of professional experience preparing both individual and business tax returns is strongly preferred.
• A current PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) is required for this role.
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and adapt efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven environment.
• Solid, working knowledge of current federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to providing superior, empathetic client service.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $34.00
